Quality Guidelines
Clear Entry Criteria
- Be specific about entry - exact price or clear zone
- Indicate if it's a market order or pending order
- Mention any conditions (e.g., "wait for breakout confirmation")
Proper Risk Management
- Always include a stop loss
- Keep risk/reward ratio reasonable (minimum 1:1)
- Consider volatility when setting SL distance
Realistic Targets
- TP1 should be achievable (supports confidence)
- Multiple TPs allow partial profits
- Don't set targets beyond reasonable price action
Managing Active Setups
Updating Subscribers
Keep your subscribers informed:
- Entry Filled: Confirm when you've entered
- SL Adjustment: Notify when moving stop loss
- TP Hit: Announce when targets are reached
- Market Update: Share relevant developments
Moving to Breakeven
A common best practice:
- When TP1 is hit, move SL to entry price
- Notify subscribers of the BE move
- This locks in profit and removes risk
Closing Setups
Always close setups properly:
- Select accurate outcome (TP hit, SL hit, manual close)
- Include final P/L in pips
- Add closing notes if relevant
Timing Considerations
When to Publish
- Give subscribers time to enter (don't publish after you've already moved 50 pips)
- Consider your subscribers' time zones
- Be mindful of upcoming high-impact news
Setup Frequency
- Quality over quantity - don't force setups
- Be consistent with your advertised frequency
- It's okay to have quiet periods when markets aren't right
Analysis and Education
Adding analysis to your setups provides educational value and helps subscribers understand your reasoning. Consider including:
- Key support/resistance levels
- Pattern identification
- Relevant fundamental factors
- Why you chose these specific levels
Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Publishing without a stop loss
- Setting unrealistic targets
- Not updating subscribers on changes
- Forgetting to close old setups
- Publishing setups you wouldn't take yourself
