Prerequisites
Before installing Commando Suite, ensure you have:
- MetaTrader 5 (MT5) installed on your computer
- An active C Logic Factory account
- A valid Commando Suite license (purchased from our shop)
- Your license key (found in your dashboard)
Getting the EA Files
- Your EA package was sent to your email when you purchased or were granted a license
- If you need the link again, go to Dashboard → EA Management and click Resend Package Link
- Download the package from the link in your email
- Extract the files to a location you can easily find
Installing on MT5
Step 1: Open MT5 Data Folder
- Open MetaTrader 5
- Click File → Open Data Folder
- Navigate to
MQL5 → Experts
Step 2: Copy the EA File
- Copy your downloaded .ex5 file
- Paste it into the
Experts folder
Step 3: Refresh MT5
- Go back to MT5
- In the Navigator panel (Ctrl+N if not visible)
- Right-click on Expert Advisors
- Click Refresh
- You should now see the Commando EA listed
Attaching the EA to a Chart
- Open a chart for any instrument (e.g., EURUSD)
- In the Navigator, find your Commando EA
- Double-click it or drag it onto the chart
- The EA settings window will appear
Configuring EA Settings
Common Tab
- Check Allow Algo Trading
- Check Allow DLL imports (if prompted)
Inputs Tab
Enter your configuration:
- License Key: Your license key from the dashboard
- API Key: Your connection key (for AT/GM)
- Other settings specific to each EA type
Enabling Auto Trading
For the EA to execute trades, you must enable auto trading in MT5:
- Click the AutoTrading button in the toolbar
- It should turn green when enabled
- The EA icon on the chart should show a smiley face
Important: If the EA shows a frowning face, auto trading is disabled or there's a configuration issue. Check the Experts tab in the terminal for error messages.
Verifying Installation
To confirm the EA is working:
- Check the Experts tab in MT5 terminal (Ctrl+T)
- Look for initialization messages
- The EA should show "License validated" or similar
- Check your C Logic Factory dashboard for connection status
Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues:
- EA not showing: Refresh the Navigator or restart MT5
- License error: Verify your license key is correct
- Connection failed: Check your internet connection
- Not trading: Ensure AutoTrading is enabled
